My client is an established mining company within the Queensland coal industry and requires the services of an experienced Mining Engineer to join their team.
You will be joining a professional team of engineers and will be responsible for coordinating the planning and operational management for their existing open cut mine.
Reporting to the technical services superintendent, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and optimising dragline and drill & blast designs
- Optimising short to long-term mine planning and schedules
- Develop, maintain and communicate mining plans, budgeting and cost control
- Conducting planning and reports of business and budget statistics
- Project Management and supervision of junior engineers
- Degree in Engineering (Mining)
- 7+ years experience mining engineering experience within coal
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience Extensive mine planning and operations management experience
- Proficient in utilising both Vulcan and Xpac software
- Ability to communicate plans and facilitate relevant meetings
