A very rare opportunity for a Mining Engineer with 5 years experience in underground coal mining, with experience working within the Australian mining sector to work for a leading mining company in their Brisbane office.
In this role you will be able to working in a small team of mining professional, working on the technical studies relating to the underground mine design and surface infrastructure of a new mine development.
You will be reporting to the Technical Services Manager and you will be responsible for:
- Geotechnical studies
- Mine design, planning and scheduling
- Financial analysis
- Gas and Ventilation studies
- Hydrology studies
- Undertake tasks and projects as required by the Technical Services Manager
- Participate with business improvement initiatives and ideas
- To possess tertiary qualifications in mining engineering
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience in underground coal mining
- Proven track record in technical services at same or subordinate level
Salary depends on experience, but will be in the region of $140 - 160K + benefits. Salaries outside that range can be considered for those with exceptional levels of experience.
