An opportunity is available for a Senior Geophysicist to take akey role on the exploration team of a well established Brisbane basedoil and gas operator.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with anexcellent, stable team on a wide range of interesting projects.
The purpose of the role is to perform interpretation on 2D and3Dseismic data, impedance inversion data and/or pre and post-stackattribute data for both conventional and unconventional oil and gasassets.
Duties will include:
Interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data
Completion of project interpretations from a combination of well, seismic, geological and other potential field data types
Depth conversion
Prospect generation
Evaluation of exploration opportunities
Preparation of seismic programs and tenders for acquisition and processing
Writing project reports
Suitable applicants will have:
Tertiary qualification in Geophysics
Minimum 12 years experience in the oil and gas industry
Extensive experience in seismic interpretation
A salary package of $190,000 - $2500,000 + Bonus is available forthis role dependent on skills and experience.
