An excellent opportunity is availableto join one of Australia's premier oil and gas operators in the roleof Senior Development Geologist based from their Sydneyoffices.
This role will offer the opportunity to mentor a teamwhilst maintaining a strong technical bias with the potential todevelop into a leadership role.
The responsibilities of therole will include;
Maximising value from production and near field exploration assets
Provide robust reservoir models
Identify new reserves
Optimise production
Efficient depletion of fields' reserves
Mentoring and coaching junior staff
Suitable applicants will have;
Tertiary qualification in Geology
Minimum 10 years experience in the oil sector
Extensive experience in complex static geological model construction
Extensive experience in development geology
Detailed knowledge of uncertainty analysis and subsurface quantification methods
Detailed knowledge of sequence stratigraphy, sedimentology, facies modelling, petrophysics, geostatistics, reservoir engineering, petroleum engineering, flow dynamics.
Excellent communication skills
A salary range of $240,000 - $250,000 + Bonuses is available forthis role. Salaries outside of this range may be considered forexceptional candidates.
