Reporting to the Mine Manager, your main areas of responsibility will include :-
- The provision of technical support to increase safety and efficiency and reduce costs
- Working closely with the Operations Team to ensure production targets are met
- Design, coordinate and analyse drill and blast activities
- Pit Designs ensuring maximisation of ore bodies
- Involvement with Business Improvement activities to maximise production, efficiencies and safety performance
You will be part of a dynamic team maximising current ore bodies whilst bringing new pits into production.
To be considered, you will be a qualified Mining Engineer with experience in an open pit environment .Working towards or possessing a Quarry Manager's Certificate will be advantageous however those candidates who wish to acquire their Quarry Manager's Certificate are encouraged to apply. In addition, you will also possess a high level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite and Surpac.
