Join a large owner operator in the technical services department on an Open Pit coal mine in the Bowen Basin.
This role is suitable for candidate coming form a contractor who wants to get more that just pre strip exposure to the coal mining operation.
In this role you will be reporting to the Senior Mine Planning Engineer and you will be you will be trained up on all aspects of short-term to medium-term mine planning activities and will be required to liaison and present plans to the long-term planning team and managers.
Some of your responsibilities will include
- Coordinating all daily short-term to medium-term planning activities for the mine site
- Conducting planning and reports of business and budget statistics
- Performing all daily, weekly and quarterly statistical reports
- Re-forecasting monthly statistical reports against budget
- Partaking in mine project developments as needed
- Degree in Engineering (Mining)
- At least 2 years mine planning or production engineering experience
- Ability to communicate plans and facilitate relevant meetings
- Experience with Xpac and Vulcan software will be highly regarded
