An owner operator coal mining company is looking for a experienced Mining Engineer to step into a critical role as a Medium Term Planning Specialist at their open cut coal mine in the Bowen Basin.
In this Senior role you will be able to focus on your technical development without the need to oversee or manage a team. This is an extremely critical role within the technical services department, with the site relying on the 3 years forecast and plans that you will be designing.
In this role you will be based residentially in the southern region of the Bowen Basin, working on a 5/2 roster enabling you to be home with your family every night.
In this role you will be reporting to the Technical Services Manager and your responsibilities will be:
- Developing monthly rolling 3 year re-forecast of mining physicals, equipment and coal quality
- Developing annual budgets using XERAS financial modelling software
- Developing 3 year dump plans
- Supporting the Short Term Superintendent in 16 week plans
- Liaising with the Long Term Technical Service Team
Salary depends on experience, but will be in the region of $130K - $150K + benefits. Salaries outside that range can be considered for those with exceptional levels of experience.
