Geological Database Administrator - FIFO Perth 8/6
Multinational organisation seek an experienced Geological Database Administrator to compliment their growing team.
This job will involve entry of geological data to a GIS database
Also you will be responsible for SQL server maintenance, ensuring solid integrity of data via regular validation, transfer of historic data into the current system: entry of assay results and responsibility for QAQC reporting, production of MapInfo plans and sections, database script and query writing.
Assistance in helping colleagues to drive the database and make the most of extracting meaningful information will also form part of your role.
Ideally you will have excellent computer skills, especially experience in GIS. A working knowledge of MapInfo, Micromine, Vulcan, and Explorer III would be an advantage but it's not a deal breaker.
You will have strong written and verbal communication skills plus be a clear team player.
To be considered for this position you should possess:
A Bachelor in Science degree
The ability to drive subsets of the data to completion
Strong technical, organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
Positive and proactive safety behaviors;
Computer skills and proficiency in GBIS, Explorer III, MapInfo, Vulcan, Micromine and the MS Office suite.
